Talk about Tomorrow

Summary

Help to preparing parents in Scotland for transition to adulthood when they turn 16. Transition simply means change – and for young people with disabilities and learning difficulties, growing up is one of the biggest changes they face. It isn’t just about leaving school. It’s about building an adult life, and that takes time.  We work in partnership with the follow organisations a charity called Contact for families with disabled children, Lead Scotland who are specialists in linking education and disability and Gillespie Macandrew who is a leading independent Scottish Law firm.

Our service offers advice and information on:

  • Planning for transition
  • Advice on moving to adult services
  • Looking at options to continuing with learning
  • Advice on legal matters including, Guardianship, Power of Attorney and intervention orders and other legal matters
  • Information and support on benefits and finance and other sources of funding
