PAMIS Scotland

Summary

PAMIS is a national organisation and provides support to families across Scotland. PAMIS provides support, workshops, advocacy, newsletters etc. for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, their family and carers and interested professionals.

They have five Family Support Service Directors with responsibility for a particular local area: Tayside, Fife, Grampian, Greater Glasgow & Clyde and South Lanarkshire. Through the Family Support Service Directors, people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and their family carers can access all PAMIS services and resources.

In the areas where there is currently no designated Family Support Service, their engagement is through national projects and their information service. They are keen to work with all families and will pursue partnerships with all Health and Social Care Boards as part of the PAMIS 10 Year Strategy.
