PAMIS is a national organisation and provides support to families across Scotland. They have five Family Support Service Directors with responsibility for a particular local area: Tayside, Fife, Grampian, Greater Glasgow & Clyde and South Lanarkshire. PAMIS provides support, workshops, advocacy, newsletters etc. for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, their family and carers and interested professionals.
Through the Family Support Service Directors, people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and their family carers can access all PAMIS services and resources.
In the areas where there is currently no designated Family Support Service, their engagement is through our national projects and our information service. Parent to Parent
A team of support workers help parents on a one to one basis and are available to any family caring for a child with an additional need in the Dundee, Angus and Perth and Kinross area. This may be a physical disability, learning difficulty, sensory difficulties, long-term illness or an emotional difficulty linked to the child's disability.
