Occupational Therapy – Children and Young People (NHS Lanarkshire) – Hamilton

Occupational Therapists work with parents, carers and others to assess if a child has difficulties with everyday practical and social skills. Sense Scotland’s One Giant Leap National Programme is a youth programme supported by teams of volunteers working alongside trained staff in 4 different regions which are Ayrshire, Dundee, Glasgow and Lanarkshire. The Programme aims to improve transitions for young people with communication and health support needs who are moving from school to adult services. The group is open to young people who are approaching school leaving date. Group members should be comfortable with working in large groups. The Programme is funded by the Big Lottery until May 2020. One Giant Leap is now open in all 4 regions and they welcome new enquiries for the 2019 school leaving term.
