Vision Support Service

The Vision Support Service works with children and young people (from birth to 19 years old with a visual impairment), their families, school staff and a range of other agencies that may be involved, such as NHS Orkney. The Service can: - Carry out functional vision assessments. - Provide information, advice and practical help. - Write annual reports with recommendations on vision and progress for parents/carers and school staff. - Provide visual awareness sessions. - Provide specialist equipment as and when required. - Liaise with mobility specialists to organise training, if required.
