Alison Hay has been appointed as the Service Manager (Maternity cover) for Enquire, Scotland’s national advice and information service for additional support for learning.

Alison has extensive experience working within the children’s sector, including leading previous projects with Children in Scotland such as the CHANGE project focused on improving childcare provision in the east of Glasgow and managing the Access to Childcare Fund to support accessible and affordable childcare solutions.  

Speaking on her appointment, Alison said:  

“I’m delighted to be returning to join the team at Children in Scotland and take up the role of service manager of Enquire.  

Enquire is an invaluable service for so many navigating the world of additional support for learning, and are a key stakeholder in the work being done at national level to improve provision and delivery of ASL.

I’m pleased to be leading the team during this time when children’s rights, education and support for learning is positioned high on the political and public agenda.”

Alison took up her new role in February 2026 and will hold the post for a period of 12 months.
