    Dyslexia Scotwest is an information and advocacy service, dedicated to assisting dyslexic people in the west of Scotland. They have two main aims, firstly, to raise awareness and understanding of dyslexia and, secondly, to offer help and support to anyone with an interest in dyslexia.

    Lomond and Argyll Advocacy Service

    Lomond & Argyll Advocacy Service (usually known as ‘LAAS’) is an independent, free and confidential advocacy organisation operating in the West of Scotland. They provide independent advocacy to adults who use community care services. Their priority groups are adults with a learning disability, adults who use mental health services and people over 65.

    NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, West Dunbartonshire

    Based in the Acorn Centre at the Vale of Leven Hospital. CAMHS offers assessment and treatment to children and young people with emotional and mental health difficulties e.g. mental health disorders, complex behavioural difficulties and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and Tourettes Syndrome. CAMHS works with young people up to 18 years from across West Dunbartonshire working closely with other services, providing education, advice and training to support other services.

    NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Specialist Children’s Services

    Specialist Children’s Services (SCS) provides community and hospital based secondary care services for a range of children and young people 0-19 years old throughout Greater Glasgow and Clyde. SCS provide services to a range of children and young people experiencing various long term, life limiting illnesses and disorders as well as mental health problems and difficulties. Specialist Children’s Services headquarters are based in Templeton On The Green, 62 Templeton Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow G40 1DA where we have a range of staff including the Head of Specialist Children’s Services, Clinical Director for Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Clinical Director for Specialist Community Paediatrics.

    Resolve Mediation

    West Dunbartonshire Psychological Services

    Psychological Services offer a specialist service to schools and parents to help children and young people with additional learning needs. Educational Psychologists can support and help children of all ages. They will talk to your child about their feelings and their likes and how they get on with other people and at school.

    Young Carers – Y Sort It

    Y Sort it supports, develops and delivers two young carer groups, one aged 10-12 years and 12-18 years, to provide a safe and fun space for young carers to relax, study, meet new friends, and access advice and support. The groups and activities will take place during evenings and weekends on a weekly basis throughout the year, including holiday times. Free travel and pickups will be available for those wishing to access the group work sessions.
