    BEMAS (Black and Ethnic Minority Advice Service)

    Advice and practical support for parents of disabled children (0 - 16 years), from black and ethnic minority communities. One to one casework on a range of issues, including; education, health, social work support, funding and grants, accessing leisure and social opportunities. Regular carers group meetings provide group support on topics of caring and disability. The service covers City of Edinburgh.

    Clan Childlaw

    Clan Childlaw is a unique legal and advocacy service for children and young people. Delivers free, confidential legal advice and representation in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Glasgow. The service helps children and young people up to the age of 18, or 21 if they have been Looked After. Provides free information and guidance about children's rights and the law to family members, carers and adults who work with children or young people in Scotland.

    EARS Independent Advocacy Service

    EARS provides independent advocacy to a number of different people.West Lothian - provides services to people over 16 with a physical disability, acquired brain injury, stroke survivors, a learning disability, Autism or anyone over 65.Midlothian - provides services to people over 16 with a physical disability, an acquired brain injury, stroke survivors or anyone over 65.East Lothian - provides services to people over 16 with a physical disability, an acquired brain injury, stroke survivors or anyone over 65.Edinburgh - provides services to anyone who has survived a stroke.

    Edinburgh Young Carers (EYC)

    Edinburgh Young Carers Project works with young people aged 5 to 20 years old who care for or are affected by someone else at home - usually a parent or sibling.     Kindred Edinburgh

    Kindred supports families by providing emotional and peer support, information and advocacy.
    The  team supports families with children with complex and exceptional health care needs in Edinburgh and Fife.
    The hospital team supports families who have a child who is inpatient at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.

    NHS Lothian CAMHS – Intellectual Disability Service

    The CAMHS Intellectual Disability Service (formerly Child Learning Disability Service) works with children and young people who are between 0 to 18 years old and have significant developmental delay or a learning disability (with or without autism), and have mental health or complex behavioural problems. The specialist team also works closely with and supports families and carers. As well as an outpatient service, they also offer specialist Early Years and Intensive Treatment Services.

    NHS Lothian Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (North Edinburgh)

    Children and young people aged 0-18 years are referred to CAMHS if there are significant concerns about their mental health or wellbeing and when their difficulties are impacting upon their day to-day life. All schools have details about referral criteria and contact numbers for accessing CAMHS.
