Inclusion Ambassadors: Resources
Based on our experience of working with the group, we have collated our Inclusion Ambassadors resources.
The Inclusion Ambassadors is a group of secondary school-aged pupils who each have a range of additional support needs. Originally formed in 2016 by Education Scotland, the group was established to ensure the views of children and young people with additional support needs are heard in discussions about education policy. Children in Scotland and Enquire have been supporting the network since 2019.
The group is involved in a range of activities to influence and improve experiences for pupils with additional needs. This includes the creation of a number of practical resources. These Inclusion Ambassadors resources are designed to support practitioners and decision-makers. They have been created to help develop practice in meaningfully engaging with children and young people with additional support needs.
These range from activities that can be done at school level to resource packs that can support strategic developments.
Many of the resouces provide example activities that you can use as a starting point for your work. They have been created to help support you to listen to the voices of children and young people with additional support needs.
