I was very impressed with the professionalism of the service and literature and extremely grateful for the advice provided. In our case, the [Enquire] Helpline helped to secure a positive outcome from the local authority for our child, together with a commitment to the revision of the authority’s policy.
Should my child’s individualised educational programme (IEP) be reviewed?
If your child has an IEP (or similar plan) it should be reviewed regularly, usually every school term. You and your child should be involved in this. The targets can be checked and if they have been reached, new ones can be set. If the targets have not been met, the targets and support can be reviewed. If your child’s needs change once the targets have been agreed, ask your child’s teacher for a meeting to discuss whether the IEP needs to be updated.
