Occupational therapists work to enable the child/young person to overcome any difficulties which may be impacting on their ability to carry out everyday tasks and enable them to be as independent as possible. These everyday tasks may include self care tasks, play, and activities within their school or the community. The service responds to requests for assistance providing information,advice, support as well as assessment and intervention when required. This is provided to families,carers and children and young people from 0 to 18 years or school leaving age, in a variety of settings including schools, nurseries, clinics, at home and in local communities.
