NHS Borders Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service

The Paediatric (Children’s) Occupational Therapy Team is community based and provides a Borders wide service. Each Occupational Therapist (OT) covers a geographical location and they provide input to the acute hospital setting (Ward 15, BGH) as required. The paediatric OTs provide a service to children with a diverse range of difficulties, with an age range of 0-18 years. OTs work with children who have difficulties with the practical and social skills necessary for their every day life. The OT aims to enable the child to be as physically, psychologically and socially independent as possible.
