Epilepsy Scotland

Summary

Epilepsy Scotland has a free confidential helpline, and sends out information free of charge on a variety of topics including publications aimed at children, teenagers, teachers and parents. In Edinburgh, Epilepsy Scotland has youth groups for children with epilepsy aged 11 to 18. Each year there is a residential summer program for children with epilepsy (aged 11 to 18). We also have a trained sleep counsellor and offer school awareness talks on epilepsy. There is also an epilepsy social worker and family service based in Edinburgh, providing 1 to 1 support, either in person or over the phone. Epilepsy Scotland provides direct support to children with additional support needs in the Lothians through its ‰Û÷Lighthouse Support Service‰Ûª.
